Graceland Secondary School was conceived by
CHIEF UKANA AKARUTU 1
through the Holy Spirit. He bore the burden for several years. Knowing
he was not called to run with it, he shared it with some educationists
who felt called by the Holy Spirit to run with it.
GLSS was founded in 2003. It started with 80 students in two arms of JSS
1, twenty five (25) Teaching staff, four (4) Non-teaching staff and
twenty (20) Disciplers. The first External Examination (Junior NECO and
Junior State WASC) were taken in May 2008. First SSCE was taken in 2011
and the first Cambridge was in 2017.
It is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission as a group of schools
that is expected to have expression in several parts of the country and
beyond.
Our Vision: Is to be one of the Prestigious Education Institution in Nigeria that provide all round Education for Nigeria Children.
Discipline is a core value of the whole school life. It is the essential instrument for moulding the students to become role models of the new life in Jesus in every sphere of life they find themselves.
Since Graceland Secondary School is first and foremost a ministry towards the child's support for the school is based on the Principles of looking unto God for the supply of all her needs through willing and obedient hearts.
Any student seeking admission into Graceland Secondary School must
purchase the admission form and sit for the Entrance Examination.
Successful candidates are called for interview.
Those who are Successful in the interview are offered Admissions.
